I’m Cassidy, a 26-year-old traveler, and outdoor enthusiast.
At 18 years old, I decided to pack a suitcase to travel the world rather than to move into a dorm. I’ve gone to see the world: all its oceans, rigid mountain tops, villages, and cities.
On this adventure, I’ve caught myself stuck between landslides in Nepal, diving with Manta rays in Indonesia, hiking Colorado’s tallest mountains, chasing endangered orangutans in the deep jungle of Gunung Leseur, observing pink river dolphins from a canoe in the Ecuadorian Amazon, hanging out of an airplane 14,000 feet out of the sky above the sand dunes of Namibia, and standing silently still while 20 feet away from a territorial white rhino.
When I decided to go back to university in 2019 to study conservation, my passion for getting outside and traveling never left, even when most of my days were spent inside of a classroom. I had to find creative ways to make money in order to continue doing what I love. That’s what this blog is all about. I love talking about gear, encouraging you to get outside and/or travel solo, and sharing all the tips and tricks I’ve learned along the way about working and traveling at the same time.

Hi, im planning a trip with a friend but she is definitely about to cancel on me and i an nervous about traveling alone as a woman. Ive flown and taken trains by myself internationally but staying in airbnbs seems dangerous to me. Was this your experience at all? Or should I be okay as long as I keep my whereabouts up to date with my friends and family.
